"We specialize in placing some of the top marketers and brand-builders in the world. We know — and our candidates know — what it takes to get new business into the market. But even the best need more capacity, and even the best lack some of the skills associated with launching new business. We've referred Frehner-Jens to a number of our clients, and will keep recommending them."

Kurt Frehner, MANAGING PARTNER

Kurt has a proven track record of building businesses with companies such as Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, and Ashland, Inc. as well as with a number of start-up companies in the telecom and technology industries. Prior to founding Frehner-Jens, Kurt was the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Product Development for the Internet Products & Services division of Broadwing, a $2B telecommunications provider, where he helped deliver several broadband industry firsts, including the nation's first full-market deployment of "video-on-demand" over an IP network. Kurt's classic consumer marketing expertise from his days as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble combined with his practical application of this experience in building several start-up businesses enables him to quickly understand how to help companies accelerate ideas to market.

Eric Jens, MANAGING PARTNER

Eric's background is rich with experience in branding and marketing innovation across a spectrum of product categories (health/personal care, retail, and e-commerce/entertainment), including nine years with Procter & Gamble. As VP of Marketing for Hutchison Whampoa, Eric led the creation and implementation of the Hutchison Healthcare China expansion strategy to enter the US$4B nutrition supplement market. Prior to that, Eric worked for nine years at Procter & Gamble, and led P&G's Vidal Sassoon China launch. This new product achieved over US$100M in Year 1 sales and became one of only a handful of China consumer product launches to achieve profitability in the first year. Eric also created and launched a retail venture in China that is currently the largest charity store in China having contributed more than US$250,000 to support local children's charities.

Cheryl Law, PARTNER

Cheryl has extensive experience in market research, consumer insights, and strategic planning with Fortune 500 and start-up companies. During her 8 year tenure with Procter & Gamble, Cheryl led consumer research for the Pantene brand, which provided the foundation for its growth from a 2% share of the U.S. hair care category to global market leadership. For the past 4 years, Cheryl has led market research for Hotwire, a start-up in the online travel space. Under her leadership in translating consumer understanding into business strategy, the company established a compelling brand positioning and a consumer-centric business plan. This work not only resulted in a successful business launch, but led to the recent acquisition of Hotwire by Barry Diller's InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI). With Frehner-Jens, Cheryl helps identify and answer the key questions that will drive the critical decisions to be made while accelerating a new idea to market.
